We spoke with the creative team behind this short, writer and director Edward Zorab and creative producer Mollie Cayzer-Colvin on their influences and inspirations behind this film and what it means to them. I am Trent Trammell, Atlanta based Photographer. I create because there has always been a burning need for me to create something that was not there before; whether it's capturing a fleeting moment, telling a story, or staging a themed look. Creating in today's world has afforded me the ability to broadcast my work to every corner of the planet and turn my ideas into reality. I feel proud to create and stand alongside so many of talented youth, fully capable of turning dreams into reality.

gas-lighting. being held by a thread. what once was. constriction. censorship. forced connections, small talk. This is what I hoped to convey in my series, emotional distance. I shot these photos with a couple who were dating at the time, so I could harness that intimacy yet also depict that strained connection that can form in relationships. a lyric I was really inspired by for this series is one by The Marias from their song ‘I don't know you,’ it goes “there's a weight in my bed where you laid and you said 'I don't know you.'" the photos are about losing touch and losing a sense of togetherness.

Maybe I, too, Was Photosynthesizing is an exploration of the self through lived experiences of light. Based on a written account of memories and passing thoughts triggered by observing light and how it moulds things, this project explores existential anxiety, mental illness, body esteem, and being as the process of becoming. This book includes visual responses to the text, using both digital and analog drawing methods, as a means of viscerally expressing what it is like to feel intolerably light.
